Talk with a payments specialistHow the calculation works
Payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n)
P = loan amount · r = annual rate ÷ 12 · n = years × 12. At 0%: payment = P ÷ n.
Example: $100k business loan monthly payment
At 10% over 10 years, $100,000 is about $1,322 per month and roughly $58,600 in total interest. Over 5 years at the same rate, it's about $2,125 per month with about $27,500 of interest — higher payments, less total cost.
What this calculator doesn't include
- Variable-rate changes (many SBA and practice loans float with Prime)
- Guarantee fees, closing costs or prepayment penalties unless you enter them
- Interest-only periods or balloon payments
A calculated payment is not an offer or approval. Only a lender can quote real terms.
