How Profit Theory gets paid

Profit Theory earns referral fees and commissions. When a business we introduce closes financing or starts a service with a lender or provider we work with, that lender or provider may pay Profit Theory a referral fee or commission. This is how we are paid for much of our work. The amount can be a one-time fee or an ongoing share, and it varies by provider and product, so we may be paid different amounts by different providers. Ask us and we will tell you whether and how we are paid on any option before you proceed. You are never obligated to use a provider we introduce.

How engagements and compensation work

Profit Theory, LLC does not accept every request. We take on engagements that make sense and that we believe we can execute. Each engagement is governed by a separate written agreement that discloses how we are paid before work begins.

Depending on the situation, we may be paid directly by the lender or provider, or paid through the loan closing process and deducted from proceeds at closing. On larger transactions, a modest retainer may apply to cover process costs while we source financing.

The website tools and an initial introduction request cost nothing. There is no guarantee of approval, rates, savings or timing.

Profit Theory, LLC is not owned by or affiliated with any lender or payment processor. We only work with providers we believe can execute for a given situation.

Who we work with

We work with selected lenders, payment providers and transaction specialists. Before we share anything, we tell you the specific provider's name and get your approval. We'll confirm each provider with you at the time of the introduction.
